I always begin my newsletters by searching for a piece of art that evokes the emotion and theme I want to write about.
As many of you know, I haven’t written a newsletter in quite a while, mostly because I’ve been busy (a good thing!). So when I finally sat down to write this one, I started the way I always do. I opened my browser and typed in the words that reflect what’s been sitting on my mind, in my heart. Todays were reflection, growth, purpose, change.
As I hit enter, the images appeared and almost instantly, I felt it. A sense of joy. Warmth. Sentimentality. That quiet feeling that starts in your gut and slowly makes its way into your heart, into your throat, into your mind, that makes your eyes go a little glassy as they almost lose a tear.
You know that feeling. When you see something, hear something, remember something or simply experience something, that places you exactly where your soulful purpose lives. That’s the feeling that came over me as I clicked through images created by artists from my past life, artwork from the Masters, from my favorite galleries throughout Wyoming, images that pulled my emotions to the surface.
Their work made something in me flicker. It has been a minute since that has happened.
That creative side of me has shifted and changed as I’ve moved through my own evolution from community space maker, gallery owner, coffee shop purveyor, art supply curator and custom framer, to real estate agent. Still deeply rooted in community, but showing up in a very different way.
I won’t say it’s been easy. I don’t even know if “struggle” is the right word, but I have spent the last two years working through and on the emotions that come with a shifting identity. Finding my footing in a new career. A new role in our community. And a new space within myself.
And in that process, I realized something important.
These newsletters are my way of staying connected, not only with past clients, new listings, friends, and family, but with myself. With the person I was with Scarlow’s and Goedicke’s. Making sure I carry her forward with me, honoring who she is, and finding the right place for her in this new chapter of life.
I’m still working on that. And I will continue to as I grow in my real estate career: creatively, purposefully, and with gratitude for every step that brought me here.
This year marked my first full year in real estate and what a year it's been. I'm deeply grateful for everyone and every experience that made it what it was. To my clients, friends, past clients and those I met for the first time this year, thank you for trusting me during some of your life's biggest transitions (and mine, ha!).
I am also incredibly thankful for the patience, guidance and steady advice from my fellow agents, lenders, title companies and for the unwavering support of my RE/MAX team.
This year, that trust and support translated to nearly $7M (!!!) in total sales volume, a milestone that reflects not just numbers but relationships, learning, trust, persistence and determination.
As I look ahead to the year to come, I am committed to doing as good, and even better, then my first year, continuing to hold myself to high standards and elevating the real estate experience in Casper and beyond.
As always, I am greatly appreciative of the time you have taken to read my ramblings. Wishing everyone a happy holiday season, a Happy New Year and a more purpose driven 2026.
With Gratitude and Hope, CHEERS!
Claire
